Poppy’s Special Friends Inc. Foundation was established in 1990 for the purpose of assisting mentally and physically challenged children and adults with everyday situations. The Foundation helps our friends make new friends and increase their coping skills by sponsoring picnics, parties, dances and fishing events for them.
The foundation was incorporated in the State of New York in September of 2005. It is a non-profit charitable tax-exempt organization under section 501 © (3) as prescribed by law. The Foundation was incorporated with the non-profit status to raise money for children and adults in the Long Island area who have been afflicted with mental or physical disabilities and/or handicaps.
Over our 21-year history, the Foundation has helped many children and adults by building ramps and buying or giving donated items that are needed for everyday functioning. The foundation raises money through donation, our Annual Spring Dinner Dance and other activities throughout the year.
We accept gifts and donations which will be raffled and auctioned off at these events.
At this time, we are asking for your generosity in assisting us to help these afflicted children and adults.
We thank you for your support.
