Jackson was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was just 13 months old on August 4th 2009. He spent the 3 years and 4 months that followed undergoing treatment which included numerous types of chemotherapy, steroids, blood and platelet transfusions, spinal taps, blood tests, hospital stays and emergency room visits.  Through it all Jackson kept a smile on his face and made the best of every situation. Despite having his first few years of life turned upside down he has remained the positive one and has become the definition of strength and resilience that his family depends on. This past December 29th 2017, marked Jackson’s 5 year anniversary of being off-treatment for ALL. We now get to officially call him our SURVIVOR. Although, there are numerous side effects as a result of the life-saving treatment he received, which will always be a concern, today Jackson is thriving.

He is 9 years old and in the fourth grade. He is extremely smart, caring, generous and sweet (sometimes to a fault). He enjoys school, playing sports and video games, playing trombone in the school band and spending time with his friends and family. But by far the greatest joy in his life right now is the fact that a few months ago he finally became a big brother. His sister, Cassidy is the absolute light of his life and his most favorite person in the world.
